Milford to Coastguard Bay/Rangitoto-18kms
This trip is suitable for strong beginners. We start at the Craig Rd car park, Milford and amble along the coast nearly to Takapuna. Then we strike out across the channel heading for McKenzie Bay. A good paddle speed is required for channel crossings to minimise the time crossing the traffic. A loo stop is available at McKenzie Bay as there is not one at the lunch stop. We go back into amble mode and rock garden around to Coastguard Bay for lunch.
