General Plan |
Based at Whitianga - Paddle to the Coroglen pub for lunch one day and cruise around the islands off from Cathedral Cove and Hahei the next. (Greg did the recce, and can be our guide…) Friday; Congregate at Whitianga’s Harbourside Holiday Park. Saturday: Meet at 8.30am On-the-water 9.00am. Going with the flow on the inward tide head up the harbour to the Waiwawa River and the Coroglen Pub for lunch. Then once the tide has turned spin around and head home. Sunday: OTW 8.00am. Two options: head to Cooks Bluff, Cathedral Cove and the outlying islands and Hahei and return or for those not wanting such a full day, go into Cooks beach head up the inlet to the Purangi River. PLAN B: Stick to the Whitianga Harbour both days or cross over to the Coromandel harbour. Cafes, art galleries… |
