Whangaparoa Circumnavigation with Andy

Sunday 11 June - Meet at Matakia Bay 9am on the water 9:30am paddle to Tindalls Bay 

We will circumnavigate the tip of Whangaparoa, departing Matakatia Bay, and travel to Tinsdalls Bay (wind direction on the day dictates which way round, to be advised closer to the day).

A short walk of approx 500m is required to fetch cars from the start point, or alternatively if you arrive early you can load your kayak ready then take the car over to Tindalls and walk back so it is there when you arrive. If you have wheels it is possible to walk over but you have to cross the busy Whangaparoa Rd.

Be advised around the tip of Whangaparoa can get choppy dependant on wind and tide, if on the day it is too choppy and I deem it unsafe we will do a coastal paddle either from Matakatia Bay or Tindalls depending on wind direction
