Meet Browns Bay or Arkles Bay for a leisurely paddle to Dacre cottage for Christmas lunch and return.

  • Richard - Meet at Arkles for a 10 am departure
  • Andy -   Meet Browns Bay North 8.30am on water 9,00am,

If you wish a shorter paddle with Andy, we will be passing Long Bay beach at 9.45ish be ready on the beach from 9.30am we will pick you up as we pass. When booking please indicate which put in you require.

There is a national regatta on at Waiake so put in here is not an option as the roads are closed around the beach.

Depending on the weather the plan may change keep an eye on the website for alterations the week prior to the event. If the weather will not allow a paddle in, we will walk in from Okura. See the website/newsletter for more info.

All meals need to be booked and paid for in advance see below

There will be fundraising raffles and games to play so please bring along some gold coins to play.

Bookings are limited and there will be no bookings accepted after Wednesday the 28th at 7 pm so please book early. A booking is not confirmed until payment is received in full.

We will be communicating as a group on VHF Channel 8  for Auckland coastguard 60 Outer gulf, 64 Inner gulf

Equipment Carried

Usual safety gear, plus clothes, footwear for sitting around in, something to sit on or folding chair, Wheels the tide goes out a long way on the beach and will need to portage the boats.
