Abel Tasman, 5th - 10th February 2019

For those that are new to kayaking the Abel Tasman is one of New Zealand’s favourite destinations to paddle and a popular one for the club. With the chance of seals and dolphins and also meeting an awesome group of people, it’s a must do.

Lindsay Is leading this trip. Noel will also be assisting. Jennifer is organizing the trip.

If you are keen to join this trip please email Jennifer Roberts <jennifer.robertshome2@gmail.com> before Wednesday 12th December

Full payment of $363 is required up front. This will not be refundable after the trip is confirmed. Cost covers shared transport (including ferry fares) and campsites.

This is a great trip for all levels of kayakers. You will need to be self sufficient with food and camping gear.

General trip plan-

5th Feb 9.00 a.m. ferry to Picton

Transport is in two private cars plus a kayak trailer. Luggage all packed in dry bags on trailer.

Drive to Marahau and camp at Old Macdonalds Farm.  if there is any space left in cabins/backpackers this may be an option so there would be no need get all the camping gear out and repack in the morning enabling an earlier start on the water.

BYO food, drink, sunscreen and camping gear.

Hiring kayaks, for those who need to, from Andy at Canoe and Kayak WN (at $50.00 per day used on water).
