Lake Tarawera/Rotomahana - Wellington
19th- 22nd October

Trip is open to paddlers of all levels who are competent to manage 1/2 meter chop and winds up to 20 knots.
Thursday 18th
Plan is to go up after work on Thursday evening 18th October, stay at a cabin on the way up around Turangi,
People to organise their own transport up and back and can group up, Richard will coordinate this if required.
Friday 19th
People to organise their own transport up and back and can group up, Richard will coordinate this if required.
Meet up at the put in at 10:00 am on Friday 19th, on the water by 11:00. We will head straight over to Hot Water Beach - camping there three nights until Sunday night
Monday 22nd
Back to the put in on Monday by 14:00 and drive home
| Either Saturday or Sunday we can portage over to lake Rotomahana (you will need a kayak trolley) and visit the thermal area. On the other day we could go to the Outlet and walk down to the falls or just explore the lake. Trips will be dependent upon the wind. All camping gear will be required for the 3 Nights at Hot Water beach. Trolley wheels will be needed for the portage. These can be hired from Canoe and Kayak for $10.00 |

I suggest people pair up and book their own campsite, allowing 2 people per campsite means we have plenty of room (I can coordinate this one we have numbers).
