Lake Rotoma

Sunday 18th November (apologies this was originally scheduled for Sunday 25th November)

Explore this pleasant small lake, one of the many in the Rotorua region. This is great lake to explore with hidden lagoons, beaches and a water sculpture to investigate. A perfect trip for beginners and anyone wanting a leisurely paddle with great scenery.

Meet Estelle at the shop at 8:00am to go in the van or directly at boat ramp at 10:00am just off the SH30 (that runs between Rotorua and Whakatane) just before the G.A.S petrol station on the left . We aim to be on the water at 10:30.

Depending on weather conditions, explore lake in whichever direction gives the least wind resistance! There will be time to explore the lagoons etc. as lake level is still very high. Bring lunch as we'll find somewhere sheltered to stop. Off the water by 3:30pm.

In order to attend you need to be a current club member and have completed our 2 day skills course.

The van & trailer will be going via the shop so any hire kayaks from Canoe & Kayak BOP can be transported on the trailer. Space on a fist come first serve basis.
