Tanners Point to Kauri Point Wharf

SUNDAY 5th AUG  - Tanners Point to Kauri Point Wharf via Matakana Island

Explore this beautiful northern section of Tauranga Harbour on this loop paddle. Launching from the deep water channel at Tanners Point and using the incoming tide we'll head over to Matakana Island and it's white sandy beaches. We'll then head south following the shoreline along Matakana island and then cross over to Kauri Point where we'll stop for lunch. We'll then head north following the mainland shoreline past Ongarere Beach and Tuapiro Reserve back to Tanner's Point, all on the outgoing tide.

High Tide: 13:50

Meet directly at Tanner's Point Boat Ramp at 9:30am, on water for 10am. Off water by 3:30pm

All attendees need to be current club members and have completed a 2 day skills course.
Any hire kayaks from Canoe & Kayak Bop will need to be transported by yourselves as we are meeting directly.
