Ponui circumnavigation
This is a 35 km trip for intermediate and up. Meeting at Kawakawa Bay (accessed via Clevedon) boat ramp.
This island is particularly pretty at the NE end and there is some rock gardening to be had on the Firth side.
There will be snack stops as well as lunch, so come prepared.
If you're lucky you may see the "wild" donkeys that live on the island and they may allow you to feed them. Bring an apple and a knife to chop it up with.
