There are all sorts of extras such as, hot pools, bmx track and dog areas.

Friday travel down. We are planning to meet at the for dinner but time and place needs to be confirmed. If you book in on the website, we will let you know by text as soon as we've made a decision.

The paddles may be up the Firth of Thames on the Te Ara Moana trail, or, (weather dependent) in one of the harbours between Tahmes and Coromandle township. There will be shorter and longer trips suitable for all abilities. Take a helmet if you want to play in the rocks, a trolley could be useful as the tide goes out a long way.

Saturday night we will have a shared Christmas dinner. Shelley will do a baked ham. We’ll need roast veges, greens, cooked chooks, salad, puddings, nibbles etc.

Let us know what food you would like to bring so we can ensure we have a good balance of food.

Don’t forget to wear all your Christmas bling and Santa hats! There is a bird theme. Feel free to improvise

If the weather is bad there are plenty of options. Hot pools, Miranda Shore birds, Ngatea water gardens, Hauraki rail trail, Waharau Regional Park, Clevedon Farmers Market, Hunua Falls and Dams, Paeroa Antique shopping and Thames are all within half an hour of the camp. And then there is hot pools ....

Sunday we can do a short paddle if we have time. We are planning a visit to the new Vector Wero Whitewater Park on the way home.
