Waiheke Explore - Join the new leaders

Come along and meet the new leaders and support them through their assessment trip!

The plan!
Meeting at the boat ramp on Omana Esplanade at 0830 on Saturday the 2nd December
Unload the boats - we will be leaving vehicles parked up the road at the Omana Regional Park

Head off towards Waiheke Island and Whakanewha Regional Park.
Lunch & Setup camp upon arrival,
Relax for the arvo, explore the area or go for a fish.

The group will be having a BBQ shared dinner, you are free to bring along something to contribute to the meal or do your own thing.

Up early on Sunday heading off to explore the coast of Waiheke and return to Maraetai for a coffee early afternoon.

Bring along some snorkling and fishing gear if you are into that sort of thing, or walking shoes if you want to walk around the park when we arrive.

We will be overnighting at the Poukaraka Campground - book your campsite ASAP through the council here
If you require a kayak let Todd at Nth Shore C&K know on 09 476 7066 or adventures@canoeandkayak.co.nz, he will have some available for hire.


Should the weather be margional for this trip our backup location will be in the Mahurangi Regional park.
