General Plan

Note: If plan changes, you must notify your Check-in person.

This trip is centred around the enjoyment of the social aspects of a Camp Over at Mita Bay Mahurangi. The departure point is Sullivans Bay so the paddle to the camp site is only around 200 metres.

Different camping scenarios will be discussed - what to bring, how to pack and how to be safe and enjoy the experience.

Mita Bay has drinkable running water and "long Drop" toilets. It is very sheltered in all but stronger northerly winds.

Once the camp-sites are established people may choose to go on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning paddles . It is intended to go in groups, which may go to different destinations depending on the weather and tides and skill levels of the group.

The Saturday and Sunday paddles are open to anyone with C&K skills course or equivalent qualifications.
