Glamp the Whanganui - 25 to 30 March 2020

Meeting at Taumarunui Canoe Hire on Wednesday the 25th March, camp or you can book accommodation. Alternatively, drive down early meet at 8am on the morning of the 26th.

We will spend Thursday paddling down to Poukaria to camp overnight, en-route we’ll stop at the Lavender Farm for morning tea before continuing further down the river for a lovely riverside lunch.

At Poukaria camp, Peter will whip up a three-course meal and then bacon and eggs for breaky. On Friday we’ll paddle down to Posh Pioneers for three nights of glamping and activities.

Then on Monday morning, we’ll paddle down to the Whakahoro River to be pick up at noon and taken back to Taumarunui.

The club cost for transport to and from Taumarunui Canoe Hire and camp fees (while not at Posh Pioneers) $50

Food that Peter is suppling $70

DOC Camp fees $20

Posh Pioneers three nights food, accommodation and activities $1000

Total Cost $1140.

Hire of Kayaks are available for $60. Book through Canoe & Kayak. Please book yourself and arrange transport. Peter may be able to assist.

Payment can be made to Peter for $140 for food, transport and camp fees.

There are four double cabins and four twin-share, so space is very limited.
Please book early to avoid disappointment.
