Sunday 26th November
One of the most dramatic parts of our local coastline, with steep cliffs and secluded white sandy beaches. Paddling from the northern end of Waihi Beach we'll track north up the coast along the Orokawa Scenic Reserve and stop at the beautiful Mataora Bay for lunch. If it's warm enough we'll go for a dip in the sea or just relax on the white sandy beach.
We'll then head back down the coast to Waihi Beach. In total we'll cover around 25km so you must be comfortable and fit enough to cope with the distance. You will also need to be comfortable beach launching and landing.
