An enjoyable short harbour trip with a paddle over to Motuhoa Island from the Waitui Reserve to enjoy the Mount views and marine life round the island. Perfect for beginners.
Meet directly at the Waitui Reserve in Te Puna at 11:30am. The reserve is at the end of Snodgrass Road, which becomes Wallace Road then Matahiwi Road. There are toilets on site. Off water by 4pm at the latest.
Bring your lunch with you as we'll stop on one of the beaches on the island or paddle over to the boat club at Omokoroa..
High tide is just after 3pm so we should have enough water in the channels to get in close to the island to explore under the beautiful Pohutukawa trees.
