TRIP CANCELLED DUE TO FORECAST HIGH WINDS AND SWELL

The video says it all. A great trip exploring this beautiful coastline and the Hidden Lagoon just offshore. Simply stunning and not to be missed. Lunch on one of the secluded sandy beaches north of Whangamata if beach landing is possible.
Low tide at 3:53pm
If you wish to hitch a ride in Estelle's van you'll need to meet her at her place on route near Katikati where the van/trailer will be available. Hire kayaks from Canoe & Kayak BOP will need to be arranged well in advance.
Meet at Estelle's place at 9:00am or directly at Whangamata Wharf on Beach Road at 11:00am to catch the outgoing tide. Off water by 4pm.
All attendees need to be current club members and have completed a 2 day sea kayak skills course.
