Wenderholm Overnight

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October.
Leader for paddling is Adam.
This trip is open to all paddlers including beginners and Sit-On-Top paddlers.
Overnight camp at Wenderholm Regional Park.

09 366 2000 option 2, to make your booking. Call between 8am and 9pm. Booking took me about 10 minutes including registering all my details (Only have to do this if you have not booked an ARC camp site before). Price is $15 per person. They take a payment with credit card/Visa Debit through a secure payment system on the phone.
Details of amenities available are on the ARC Site. Vans/Campers are welcome.

Saturday
High Tide at 11:06am
Meet @ Wenderholm boat ramp 9am, launch at 9.30 for paddle up the puhoi river. Aim to be at Puhoi at high tide so we have an easy in and out.
Paddle back after lunch to Wenderholm, where we will set up camp at the camping ground for a relaxing evening outdoors.
Sunday
Low tide at 5am, so plan to be on the water by around 10.30am after packing up camp. We will paddle out of the puhoi river north towards Mahurangi. Will leave options open, if we wish to paddle to Saddle island, or around to Martins bay.
Gear:
This is a self sufficient trip. We are not far from Waiwera and Orewa, so if you need to pop into town for whatever reason it isn't far.
BYO Kayak & Gear, camping equipment, cooking equipment and food. Bring wet weather gear should it happen to rain this weekend.
Cooking: There are electric BBQ's down the road at Wenderholm beach, but cannot see any indication of BBQ's on the camp ground itself.
Please note that we will not go on the water should the weather be severe.
