Dacre Cottage for Christmas Lunch – Sunday 3rd December
(Options - Paddle, Camp the night or Walk)
Option 1 – Paddle to Dacre Cottage
Meet at the centre of Arkles Bay at 10am for a 10.30 departure.
Paddle along the coast to Weiti River and enjoy meandering through the moored yachts at Stillwater. Continue on from the Weiti River to Dacre Cottage. Land on the beach away from the roped off areas of nesting birds.
Enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch in the grounds of Dacre Cottage and the Red Barn, organised by Pete Townend of Canoe & Kayak.
Funds raised from the Christmas Lunch go to supporting the maintenance and grounds of the historic Dacre Cottage and also to the protection of the area and waters of the Long Bay Okura Marine Reserve.
After a delicious lunch paddle back to Arkles Bay. Latest time off water 3.30pm.
Bring something to sit on, sunhat and sunblock, a drink bottle or your favourite tipple to have with lunch.
Distance Arkles Bay via Stillwater to Dacre Cottage 5.5km.
Return distance Dacre Cottage to Arkles Bay 2.5km.
High Tide 12.26pm
Suitable for beginners if under 15knts.

Option 2 – Stay the night
If you want to go to Dacre Cottage the night before you can camp there and Pete will cook you dinner. You will need to make your own way there.

Option 3 – Walk to Dacre Cottage
Walk from the carpark at Ara Weiti Road off East Coast Road. A pretty but rough bush walk that takes 15 to 20 minutes.
Requirements for all options:
1. Cost of the lunch is $20.00 and must be paid to confirm your booking by 24th November.

2. Register for the lunch by emailing dacrecottage@gmail.com and let the Dacre Cottage Management Committee know you are coming for the Christmas lunch.
3. Register for option 1 paddle to Dacre Cottage or option 2 register to stay the night can both be done here. Please ensure you check the option 1 or option 2 on the drop down menu.
